The 7th Third Council and Membership Conference of Shanghai International Freight Forwarding Association was held on the afternoon of March 21, 2019 in the 2nd Conference Hall on the 5th floor of Ruifeng International Building. President Wang Lin, Chen E, Vice President Ge Shangen and Secretary-General Li Linhai attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General Li Linhai
The meeting heard and considered President Wang Lin's Summary Report on the Work of the Association in 2018. In 2018, as China successfully hosted the first import fair, the further development of the "one belt and one way" partnership program and the further application of artificial intelligence had a profound impact on the development of the international freight forwarding industry, and brought new challenges and opportunities to the development of the industry as well. Focusing on the new requirements of industry development, the association strengthens its service function, earnestly and firmly completes its various work, and strives to provide good service to the vast number of member units.
The main work carried out is as follows:
1. A series of training courses for construction industry;
2. Organizing and participating in relevant activities of the Expo;
3. Cooperate with the city in clearing up port charges
4. Developing foreign cooperation and exchanges;
5. Develop industry credit evaluation activities;
6. Do all the basic work well.
At the meeting, Vice President Chen E's Report on the Financial Income and Expenditure of the Association in 2018 was heard and considered.
The meeting heard and considered the Report on the Work Plan of the Association for 2019 made by Secretary-General Li Linhai. In the context of the slowdown of global economic growth in 2019, the work of the Association should firmly grasp the new opportunities, adhere to the work style of steady progress, actively promote the healthy development of international logistics forwarding industry in accordance with the requirements of pragmatic, enterprising and innovative work, and strive to meet the needs of member units for the service work of the Association.
The Association plans to complete the following tasks in 2019:
1. Actively organize and participate in the related activities of the Second Expo;
2. Actively safeguard the interests of the industry;
3. Actively carry out cooperation and exchanges;
4. Actively carry out the construction of industry integrity;
5. Actively carry out industry training;
6. Do a good job in the daily work of the association.
At the meeting, Secretary-General Li Linhai also briefed the delegates on the preparations for the Second Expo and vigorously promoted trade facilitation, including the prospect of reducing costs and increasing efficiency in port trade circulation. Membership units are required to maintain the leading position in the industry in terms of service quality and honest operation, promote the orderly development of the international freight logistics service market in this city, and contribute to further optimizing and improving the business environment of Shanghai Port. At the same time, it is hoped that member units can timely feedback to the association on the difficulties and problems encountered in the course of business activities. The Association will summarize the common difficulties and difficulties faced by enterprises, timely reflect the actual situation of the industry to the relevant government departments, provide the basis for the government to formulate various policies that meet the needs of the development of the industry, and create a good business environment for the healthy development of the industry.
